The Angela EffectAngela Christensen
Emcee and Moderator

You handle the event. I’ll handle the room.

An agenda tells us what happens next. It can’t tell us how the room feels, whether a conversation needs another minute, or what to do when the schedule changes.

That’s where I come in.

I’m an emcee and moderator who pays attention to the whole room. I keep an event moving, make speakers feel welcome, and help an audience stay connected to what matters. When something unexpected happens, I’m comfortable making the call and moving us forward.

I take the work seriously. I don’t think that requires taking myself too seriously.

A host who knows when to lead and when to listen

The best moments in an event often depend on the transitions: a welcome that sets the tone, an introduction that gives a speaker a strong start, a question that opens up a better conversation, or a change of plans that the audience barely notices.

I prepare for those moments. I also know when to put the notes down and respond to what’s happening in front of me. You can expect warmth, good judgment, a little humor, and audience engagement that doesn’t involve making anyone do something awkward.

Experience in the room

I’ve led public board meetings, spoken at community and education events, and emceed a women’s leadership conference for approximately 250 people. Each setting calls for a different tone. My job is to find it, hold it, and help the people in the room feel part of the occasion.

I’m available to emcee conferences, leadership events, nonprofit gatherings, awards programs, community events, and conversations that benefit from a thoughtful moderator.
